Dr. Belaen was born and raised in Michigan.
She grew up in Milford, where she competed on her high school’s equestrian team. She attended Grand Valley State University for undergraduate schooling and graduated from Long Island University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024.
Dr. Belaen’s first job in veterinary medicine was working as a vet assistant at Dunckel Veterinary Hospital where she gained experience to apply for vet school. She is excited to now be joining the team as a doctor.
Dr. Belaen enjoys getting to work with pets at all stages of their lives. She has a special interest in soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Belaen spends her free time relaxing with her family and friends. She enjoys taking care of her menagerie of pets including her sugar gliders, chinchilla, rabbit, and mouse. Her hobbies include riding her horse and working out. She recently completed her first marathon.
