Christe Exline,
Practice Manager
Christe
was born and raised in Flint Michigan. She graduated from
Carman-Ainsworth High School in 1992 and worked in human medicine
before switching to veterinary medicine in 1997. Christe worked as a
receptionist for Dunckel Veterinary Hospital from 1997 to 2003 and is
currently the practice manager. Christe resides in Lum with her husband
Matt, their cat Apricot, dog Smudge, and horse "Chic". In her spare
time she enjoys crafts, leatherwork, gardening and team roping.

Debbie Dunckel, Business
Manager
Debbie
was raised in Lansing and then moved to Grand Ledge where she graduated
from high school in 1975. She spent one year at Northern Michigan
University and then returned to Lansing to work in the dental field for
15 years. When Dr. Dunckel began his own veterinary practice, Debbie
left the dental field to work with him from day one. Debbie and Dr.
Dunckel married in 1980. They have two sons, Ryan & Alex along
with
two cats, Sparty & Charlie and their Australian cattle dog,
Sydney.
Debbie's personal interests include golf, gourmet cooking, travel and
reading. |

Lori Gale, Client
Relations
Coordinator/Accounts Manager
Lori
was born and raised in Flint Michigan. She attended Holy Rosary
&
Mott Community College. Lori joined DVH in 2000 as a receptionist and
is now the Client Relations Coordinator/Accounts Manager and Team
Leader of the Reception and Boarding areas. The joys of her life
include her son,
Nicholas, Pembroke Welsh Corgis- Winston & Eli and her three
rescue
kitties K.C., Melon & Purdy. In her spare time she enjoys
antiques,
flea markets, gardening, campfires and going up north.

Kris Justice,
Receptionist
Kristie
was born and raised in Flint Michigan. She lives in Genesse
Twp. with her husband Jeff, their daughter Lynette, dog
“Stanley” and cat “Cat”.
Kristie has worked as
a receptionist for Dunckel Veterinary Hospital since June of 2002.
During her spare time she enjoys camping and spending time with her
daughter.

Eva Jankowske,
Receptionist
Eva was born and raised in Metamora Michigan. She currently resides in
Columbiaville with her husband, Michael, and their pets Buddy a Cocker
Spaniel, Rienie a Shar Pei and Mister an Orange Tabby. She is an avid
horse enthusiast and is a 4-H leader in the Genesee County Horse
Program. Her other interests include horseback riding&
training,
reading, painting, and laughing. Eva joined the Dunckel team in January
2002.

Michelle Burley,
Receptionist
Michelle
resides in Columbiaville Michigan with her husband Charley. They have
two daughters Katlyn & Shelby and a son Randy. Michelle joined
the
DVH team in 2004. She has worked in boarding and now as a receptionist.
She has two Australian Shepherds, Sydney & Ryley and a Yorkie
named
Donnie. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and
working with her horses and other farm animals.

Heather Gunn,
Receptionist
Heather
was born & raised in Lapeer Michigan where she graduated from
Lapeer West High School in 1997. Heather first joined the DVH team in
June 2004 and after a 6 month leave she delighted everyone with her
return in November of 2007. In her spare time she enjoys spending time
with her husband Lucas and their furry family Scooter (Golden
Retriever), Wiggles (Pug), Howie (Pug), Mumia (feline) & Sheed
(feline).

Barb Graham, Veterinary
Technician/Co-Team Leader
Barb was
born and raised in western PA. After high school she joined
the Army and trained as a Veterinary Technician at Walter Reed Army
Medical Center in Washington D.C. She was also certified in handling
primates. After serving in the Army for 4 years in Texas and New
Mexico, she and her husband, Mike, moved to Michigan. Barbed joined DVH
in 1993. She specializes in caring for our surgery patients but enjoys
all aspects of veterinary medicine. Barb is also team leader to the
Veterinary assistants & technicians. In her spare time Barb
enjoys
reading, gardening & swimming.

Patricia Burns, Licensed
Veterinary
Technician
Patricia
was born and raised, along with her 9 siblings, in Davison,
Michigan. She and husband Tim still make Davison their home, along with
Rat Terriers, Andy & Harley and Terrier Mix, Scout. In her
spare
time she enjoys painting, woodworking, gardening, camping, cruising
around the lake on their deck boat & riding snowmobiles.
Patricia
has been at DVH since 2000 as an assistant and in 2006 became a
licensed veterinary technician after attending Baker College and
passing her boards. She enjoys working with the close knit team who
shares her love & concern for animals.

Katie
Anderson, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Katie
was born and raised in Lake Orion Michigan. She graduated from Lake
Orion High School and attended Kalamazoo College for Psychology and
Oakland University for African Music & Culture Studies before
finally finding her true calling in Veterinary Medicine. She graduated,
with honors, from Baker College in 2005 and received her license 2
months later. Katie joined the DVH team in June of 2005. She lives in
Flint with her boyfriend Lenny, and their dog, a whipphet/dalmation mix
named "Willow". In her spare time she enjoys cooking, playing the
piano, singing and restoring & customizing dolls. |

Joey McIntosh, Licensed Veterinary Technician / Co-Team Leader
Joey
was born and raised in Flint Michigan. In February of 2000 she moved to
Boston to take a job as a Veterinary Assistant/Technician in training.
In 2001 she started Veterinary Technician School at Mt. Ida College in
Newton, MA. She graduated in the spring of 2004 with a 3 year
associates degree in Veterinary Technology. Joey passed both the
Michigan and National boards to become a LVT in the summer of 2005.
Joey joined the DVH team in July of 2005. She currently resides in
Grand Blanc with her wonderful cats "Sophie", "Monty", "Lipton" and
"Mary Claire". |

Joanne Heerema,

Joanne
grew up in Grand Rapids Michigan. She attended Dordt College in Sioux
Iowa and earned a BA in Animal Science and Agriculture Business. In
2005 she started as a Veterinary Assistant at DVH and moved to Davison
with her Jack Russell "Valli Girl". When not working Joanne enjoys
camping, reading, scrapbooking, sewing her own garb and attending
Renaissance Festivals. |

Crystal Thompson,

Crystal
was born in Houston Texas. Her family moved to Swartz Creek when she
was two and she still resides their with her fiance Chris and their son
C.J. They also share their home with their dogs, Poochie, Pearl, Molly,
Dusty and cats Floyd and Cutie. In her spare time she enjoys spending
time with her family and pets, reading and going up north. Crystal
began her career at DVH in May of 2007 and graduated from Baker
College's Veterinary Technician program in June of 2007. |

Holderbaum, Veterinary Assistant
Eric
was born in Lapeer MI. and attended Goodrich Schools until the 8th
grade when he moved to Posen MI. After High School he joined the
U.S.A.F. and served 4 years and received an honorable discharge. Eric
and his wife have two children Chloe & Ella. The family has
three
dogs Jesse (Pit Mix), Benny (Lab Mix) and Lexie (a Shih Tzu). In his
spare time he enjoys woodworking, gardening and spending time with his
family and dogs. He is currently attending Baker College to become a
licensed Veterinary Technician. |

Kendra
was born in Flint Michigan where she resides with her parents Jamie and
Paul, sister, Kayla, two cats Snowball & Trixy, turtle Tizzy,
guinea pig Puzzle and Lab Ebony. She graduated from Bently and joined
DVH in 2005 while still in high school. She is now attending Baker
Community College’s Veterinary Technician program. During her
spare time, Kendra enjoys spending time with family & friends,
swimming, playing the trumpet, attending youth group functions and
taking her dog Ebony to the park. |

Missy Zubke, Boarding

Missy
was born and raised in Northern Michigan. She attended Kirkland
Community College where she passed state boards for EMT & Basic
Firefighting. She married her husband Rob and moved to the Davison area
where she found her true calling working with animals. She spent
several years working with the Humane Society and a boarding facility
before joining the DVH staff in 2007. In her spare time she enjoys
spoiling her furry friends Thumper, Rascal, Muppett, Skittles, Tippy,
Stanley & Pricilla. She also enjoys spending lots of time with
family & friends, traveling, darts and NASCAR. |

Hannah
was born in Raleigh North Carolina. She moved to Davison when she was
seven years old. Hannah joined the DVH team in 2007 before graduating
from Davison High School and is now attending Baker College to become a
Veterinary Technician. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with
family & friends, swimming and playing with her dogs Joey
& Boo

Angela
Roach, Groomer
Angela
is our professional pet groomer who has been working for Dunckel
Veterinary Hospital since 1995. She was born and raised in Lake Orion
Michigan. She resides with her husband of twenty years along with her
son and daughter. They do some small farming with horses, pigs,
chickens and gardening. In her spare time she likes to sew, garden, can
fruits & vegetables and has just began candle making. But best
of
all she says "is the time she spends with her family". She has been
grooming pets for twenty years and still LOVES her job.

Pat Gorney,
Groomer
Pat has
worked in boarding and grooming for 20 years. She joined
Dunckel Veterinary Hospital in 2002 as our Boarding Manager and is now
a full time Groomer for us who still helps out occasionally in
boarding. Pat has been breeding and showing Great Danes since1978.
